Outline: In the world of Marinthia, the dark forces have started to once more seize power. When king Arman is murdered, the queen and princess flee and move back in to the elf town. After that it is a constant fight against the darkness to ensure that peace can return to the world once more.
Characters: The characters in this book do not develop a lot. It is definitely not a character driven book. The main character, the boy born of dragon blood as the prophecy stated, was my least favourite character. In the beginning he was fine, but as the end was nearing he was doing one idiotic thing after the other, which honestly drove me nuts. The female characters in this book are actually very strong, which is something I enjoyed greatly. It is wonderful to see female characters that can stand on their own and not be desperate.
Overall feel: Overall, I really enjoyed the beginning and middle of this book. The ending missed , in my opinion, some very important parts, and it was just rushing through the finale. The beginning of this book can be a bit confusing, but once you get a grasp of the way Peter Koevari wrote this book and edited it, it becomes a lot easier to follow the story-line. I would recommend this to fantasy fans, but with hesitation.
