Shatter Me, Unravel Me, Ignite Me – Book Reviews

Shatter Me Book 1.5

Spoilers are underlined.

Plot:

This novella is written from Warner’s point of view (YEII!) Basically, we get to see what Warner was doing from the end of Shatter Me all the way into some of the events in Unravel Me.

At the end of Shatter Me, Warner got shot by Juliette. In this novella we get to understand his feelings towards Juliette, as well as to see what Warner was up to while the others were in Omega Point.

Characters:

This book provides insight into Warner’s life. We get to meet members of his family, as well as understand what he thought of Juliette. Obviously, it is wonderful to get to see our lead character through the eyes of another person.

Overall: Although this novella might not be the most action packed book you could read, it is still enjoyable. Warner’s voice is nothing like Juliette’s voice, which is great. If you read Destroy Me, I am pretty sure you will fall in love with Warner. He is just so amazing.

Shatter Me Book 2.5

Plot:

In this novella we get to see Adam’s point of view on the events that took place at the end of Unravel Me. We also get a glimpse of what everyone else was doing at the beginning of Ignite Me.

During the war, Kenji, Adam and Juliette were separated, which led to Juliette getting captured. In this book we get to see Adam’s feeling about his break up with Juliette, as well as how he felt about Warner being his brother.

Characters:

The great part about the novellas in this series is that we get to see the emotions that other characters are experiencing. For example, in this novella we can see what Adam’s priorities are and how he feels about his relationship with Juliette and his relationship with the outside world. If anything, it makes Adam a much more realistic character that has his emotional ups and downs.

Overall: This novella is very fast paced and very interesting. We get to find out exactly what it is that Adam feels about his father still being alive, Warner being his half-brother and his break up with Juliette. If you are a fan of the book series, you should definitely pick up this novella.
